“The Fraternity Housing Corporation of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity has recently completed a $5.2 million dollar project with Lusk & Company, Inc. on the Georgia Tech campus located in Atlanta, Georgia. As with any project we ran into various problems such as weather, a challenging construction site, a tight schedule, demanding university requirements, unusual city code requirements, construction design issues, and difficulties with inspectors. “Lusk performed beyond the call of duty in numerous ways, but in particular, their efforts were exceptional in the following areas: first, the scope of the project included unification of the church and a desire to temporarily convert our traditional worship space in the sanctuary every Sunday morning for use as a contemporary worship center. Second, this project was innovative in that it allowed for the transition of a highly reverberant traditional sanctuary into a sound absorbing contemporary worship center and third, the sanctuary ceiling was forty fee in the air, making it a considerable challenge to install video screens, banners and lights.
